Job description: Are you looking for something different? We’re looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join us full-time at our plasma donation center in Waco, TX.If you are looking for a new opportunity, come and join us in our state-of-the-art facility. This is a stand-alone Plasmapheresis clinic that needs a nurse to screen potential donors’ eligibility by performing eligibility assessments, including medical history interview, visual examination, educating donors on donor testing, and managing donor adverse events.This is a great opportunity for nurses to move away from the more traditional bedside nursing role and into a clinic environment with daytime hours and no skilled nursing or direct patient care. Paid training provided.Responsibilities:
- Ensure the donors meet suitability criteria (check vitals, brief medical history, check to see if there’s recent drug use or recent tattoos, then a finger stick).
- Review donor lab results.
- Documentation, answering questions related to the donor process, maintaining knowledge of donation programs, along with any other duties that are assigned.
- Must have a valid Texas State Nursing License.
- Must have current CPR or BLS certification.
