Job description: Job SummaryThe anticipated duration of this assignment is estimated to be 3 months.Under supervision of the Practice Manager, guided by policies and procedures of the Pulmonary Division and Ambulatory Care, and in collaboration with the Clinical Staff, the Hospital Assistant II assists in the delivery of care to patients in the Sleep and Pulmonary Faculty practice. Work includes a variety of personal care and nursing procedures including Vital Signs, medication reconciliation and chief complaint review. S/he will perform assigned patient care in support of the specialty care services provided to patients within the practice. S/he is required to adhere to the Telephone and House Standards as adopted by the Medical Center. In addition to back office duties, this individual will be trained to coordinate all front desk activities including registering patients, scheduling appointment, answering phones, and assisting patients and providers as needed.
